4年半ぶりの登場です。
前回はラトル入りでしたので、ノンラトルとしては、9年ぶりです。

水面はときどき、理由もなくざわつく。
風のせいかもしれないし、魚の気まぐれかもしれない。あるいは、ただそういう時間帯なのかもしれない。

「750マブナー」は、そんな水面のために用意されたルアーだ。

バルサでできたウェイクベイト。軽くて、どこか頼りないようでいて、実際にはしっかりとした浮力を持っている。前のモデルにはラトルが入っていたけれど、今回はそれがない。ノンラトルとしては、9年ぶりの登場になる。

横から見れば、750シャイナーとほとんど変わらない。けれど断面は違う。マブナーは、少しだけ丸い。コロンとしている。そのわずかな違いが、水の中でははっきりとした意味を持つ。
ピンスポットでのターンが、驚くほど自然に決まるのだ。

ただ巻きにすると、ルアーは水面で少し大げさなくらいに暴れる。音はそれほど立てない。それでも、後ろに付いたテールブレードが、さりげなく存在を知らせる。風が吹いている日や、水が濁っているときでも、その動きはちゃんと届く。

リップ付きのワンフック。だからカバーに強い。
以前のモデルでは、少し気を遣う場面もあったけれど、今回はリップ溝の内側までしっかり補強されている。ためらう必要はない。思ったところへ、そのまま投げ込めばいい。

カラーは、ブラウンコーチ、チャートシャッド。どれも特別ではないが、それぞれに居場所がある。
リングは3番。フックはカルティバST46の3番。細かいところは、きちんと整っている。

このルアーが手に届くころには、水面に対する魚の意識も、少しずつ変わり始めているはずだ。トップへの反応が戻ってくる、あの季節だ。

最初の一本を狙うには、悪くないタイミングだと思う。

『750 MABUNER』
The surface of the water sometimes ripples for no apparent reason.

It might be the wind. Or the quiet whim of a fish.
Or perhaps it’s simply that time of day.

The “750 Mabuner” is a lure made for moments like these.

A wakebait carved from balsa wood—light, almost fragile in appearance, yet offering remarkable buoyancy. The previous model featured a rattle; this one does not.
This is the first silent version in nine years.

From the side, it closely resembles the 750 Shiner. But the cross-section tells a different story. The Mabuner is slightly rounder. Fuller.
That subtle difference reveals itself clearly beneath the surface.

It turns tightly, almost effortlessly, within a pinpoint space.

On a steady retrieve, it moves across the surface with an exaggerated, restless motion. It makes little noise. And yet, the tail blade at the rear provides a faint but steady signal.
Even in the wind, even in stained water, that presence carries where it needs to.

It is equipped with a lipped single hook, allowing it to move cleanly through cover.

Previous models sometimes asked for a bit of caution in tight spots. This version reinforces the inner structure of the lip groove.
There’s no need to hesitate—just cast it where you want.

The color lineup includes Brown Coach and Chart Shad. Nothing overly elaborate, but each has its place.

The hardware is precise: a size 3 ring, paired with a Cultiva ST-46 size 3 hook. Every detail has been carefully considered.

By the time this lure reaches your hands, the way fish relate to the surface may already be beginning to change.
It’s that season again—the return of topwater bites.
